Integrated three-dimensional reconstruction using reflectance fields

چکیده
A method to obtain three-dimensional data of real-world objects by integrating their material properties is presented. The material properties are defined by capturing the Reflectance Fields of the real-world objects. It is shown, unlike conventional reconstruction methods, the method is able to use the reflectance information to recover surface depth for objects having a nonLambertian surface reflectance. It is, for recovering 3D data of objects exhibiting an anisotropic BRDF with an error less than 0.3%.

Spectral Reconstruction of Blacks and Whites by Using the Statistical Colorants
In this paper, the spectral dimensions of two sets of samples including 457 black and 84 white fabrics are compared. White fabrics are treated with variety of fluorescent whitening agents and the blacks are fabrics that dyed with different combinations of suitable dyes and pigments. In this way, the reflectance spectra of blacks as well as the total radiance factors of whites are compressed in ...

متن کاملSub-pixel Reconstruction of a Variable Albedo Lambertian Surface
Using a probabilistic interpretation of an n dimensional extension of Papoulis's Generalized Sampling Theorem, an iterative algorithm has been devised for 3D reconstruction of a Lambertian surface at subpixel accuracy. The problem has been formulated as an optimization one in a Bayesian framework. The latter allows for introducing a priori information on the solution, using Markov Random Fields...
متن کاملConditional Random Fields for Airborne Lidar Point Cloud Classification in Urban Area
Over the past decades, urban growth has been known as a worldwide phenomenon that includes widening process and expanding pattern. While the cities are changing rapidly, their quantitative analysis as well as decision making in urban planning can benefit from two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) digital models. The recent developments in imaging and non-imaging sensor technologies, s...
متن کاملCorrecting for not feasible values in reflectance function estimation using linear models
In this paper we present a method that, given the tristimulus values under a known illuminant, make it possible to compute a reflectance function that is in the range between 0 and 1 of physically admissible values without altering the corresponding tristimulus values. We represent the unknown reflectance function with a three-dimensional linear model. 1. INTRODUCTION A common problem in spectr...
